Is this course for me?

This course is suitable to provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with an overview of the subject, enabling an understanding of behaviours and its origin in order to develop ways to respond positively to the behaviour.

Like all of our Health and Social care courses our Level 2 Award in Positive Behaviour Support is mapped to CQC regulations, national guidelines and recognised qualifications. Find out more here.

Syllabus

What will I learn?

This course covers the following topics:

  • What Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is
  • The primary importance of quality of life within PBS
  • Relate active support to the increase in quality of life and reduction in behaviours of concerns
  • How behaviour has a meaning for an individual
  • Relate PBS to our daily work

Assessment Criteria

This course is assessed via a knowledge paper at the end of the session.
